Low Cost Home Internet

CCN is working with our industry and nonprofit partners to increase home high-speed Internet and computer ownership for low income families. On this page, you will find up-to-date information about low cost Internet and computers. Comcast and CenturyLink offer affordable high speed Internet and netbooks, and Interconnection offers low cost desktop and laptop computers. 

Comcast and CenturyLink 

Comcast and CenturyLink have started programs to provide low income households with affordable high speed Internet service. The programs, called Comcast Internet Essentials and CenturyLink Internet Basics, allow eligible households to buy Internet service for only $9.95/month (plus tax and fees). They also provide an opportunity to purchase an Internet-ready netbook computer for only $150 and make free Internet training available online, in print, and in person. Interconnection offers $149 laptops for low income families, while supplies last. These are refurbished laptops with Windows 7 Pro, Office 2007 Basic (Word, Outlook and Excel), Anti-virus, Anti-spyware and a 90 day warranty. Laptops include Pentium M Processor, WiFi Card and DVD Rom. Desktops, flat screens, and high-end laptops are also available for low-income people and students. Interconnection also has the application materials for Comcast Internet Essentials and CenturyLink Internet Basics available to fill out at their location in Seattle.
